Q Sine offers the solutions which smartly manages the reactive power by making use of State of the Art advanced technology products. These include IGBT based Active Harmonic Filters (AHF), Static Var Generators (SVG+), Specially designed inverters, Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and UPS systems.
These solutions eliminate many hidden problems, resolves recurring maintenance issues in the plant and also reduces utility bills.


Background
At present all generation companies are seriously working on increasing revenue by various methods. DISCOM’s are now working on Leading and Lagging Power factors. They have introduced the Smart meters for measuring the True PF, kVAh billing with flicker, sags and surges.
Recently introduced kVAh billing method, is now standardised in almost 13 states of India and remaining states are also adapting it rapidly.
The approximate energy usage split, at present seen in India is as below;
- 31% by Industry and infrastructure
- Little more than 2% in Data Centre and Network
- 18% Commercial Buildings
- 21% for Residential
- 28% for Transportation
