Power Quality Audit
A Comprehensive Approach to understand the Power Quality
(As per CEA guidlines)
Q Sine EXPERT SERVICES
Save The Energy By Reducing Losses
Q Sine specialises in conducting PQA and makes analysis of the data. Based on which the solution is worked out.
Awareness about Power Quality has gained significance in the recent past. Deteriorated power quality leads to increased wear and tear in all electrical equipment. It’s damaging effect on the connected electrical / electronic loads is a concern for the cost center.
To understand the status of the Power Quality at the installation Power Quality Audit (PQA) is done periodically. The report of the PQA helps to mitigate the harmonics and PF related issues.
We study and capture following data during PQA;
Power Network System Measurements and Data Collection
- System Voltage RMS
- System Current RMS
- Active & Reactive Power
- Harmonic measurements along with specific harmonic filtering at normal operating conditions
- Three phase balancing study
- KVA Capacity Release
- Power Factor (Instantaneous)
- Data collection from site
- Voltage Improvement & stability study
- Surge & Transient Protection, study
- Broadband Harmonic reduction requirement, if any
Major Covered Parameters
Q Sine specialises in conducting PQA and makes analysis of the data. Based on which the solutions is worked out. We study and capture following data during PQA;
- Peak Voltage and Current
- Active, Reactive and apparent power per phase and their aggregate
- Active, Reactive energy - consumed and produced (export / import)
- Harmonics for voltage, current up to the 50th order
- Power factor. Displacement factor and Tangent
- Crest Factor for V and I & K factor for currents
- Frequency
- Flicker measurements
- Neutral current
- V and I unbalance in %
- Total Harmonic Distortion Factor & Inrush capture
- Transients recording
